The failure is that the parking brake pulls all the way back and won't hold the car on a slight slope. Turns out that the Honda dealership said the problem was due to the parking brake cable being frozen in the calipers. I should have looked at that one before authorizing service. This required two new rear wheel calipers and the labor to fix it all for a total cost of $674. And by the way, I need to take this car back to the dealership due to improper brake bleeding (very spongy brake action)."
