Anonymous, NY (2012 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4-L 4 Cyl)"I have had my calipers replaced several times since I owned this car.. they have a problem on not releasing fully causing the pads and rotors to wear also.. sounds trivial but 3 times at 140,000 miles for calipers seems much.. I expect the customary break survice intervals but not caliper replacement by seizure"
R W., MD (2012 Honda Accord EX-L 3.5-L V6)"With about 49,000 miles on the car, the rear driver side caliper became frozen. I was advised to replace both rear caliper assemblies for about $500."

Anonymous, NJ (2012 Honda Accord EX 3.5-L V6)"Brakes were completely worn out"
James L., CA (2012 Honda Accord EX-L 3.5-L V6)"Because of the way the brake system is set up on the 2012 Honda Accord one thing going bad can cause a lot of the other components to fail also. The left rear caliper was not releasing causing the rotor to become so hot that it was smoking. My mechanic told me, there is a lot going on with the way the system is designed. Everything is intertwined. So, the calipers, rotors and pads all had to be replaced."

Lawrence V., MA (2012 Honda Accord EX-L 3.5-L V6)"Front rotors replaced due to wear. They had already been turned once and could not be turned again. Original rotors had warped causing a vibration when the brakes were applied hard"
Anonymous, ON (2012 Honda Accord EX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)"Replace front brake rotors and pads to cure vibration in steering wheel when braking (June 2016). Rotors were out of spec for parallelism (did work myself). Did not turn rotors because the vibration always returns after about a year when it has been done in the past on other Accords"
Anonymous, VA (2012 Honda Accord LX-P 2.4-L 4 Cyl)"I Have owned three Accords previously and had put 150K miles or more and never had a rotor issue. I have 99K miles on this 2012 and have had to have the rotors turned twice, about every 50K. My driving habits and situations have not changed. I really believe they are a poor quality rotor if there is such a thing"
Dan C., AR (2012 Honda Accord EX-L 3.5-L V6)"The back passenger rotor was worn and damaged because the brake on that side wore MUCH faster than the other side. The brake wore down to the metal and started to eat into the rotor and spray off rust onto the suspension, rim, and even out to the rear quarter panel of the car (even as far around as the rear license plate there was a rust/brake dust mix which was hard to get off). Clearly, I let this go too long before I realized the problem. But when I changed the brake, I found that the driver's side brake pad was at least half in tact. I had to use a rotary tool to remove the rust from the internal suspension parts and brake parts. I used laundry detergent (Arm & Hammer powder detergent in water - high concentration - did a good job of rubbing it off without damaging the paint). I have been unable to get it off the rim without causing it damage. The rotor was still thick enough and smooth enough to keep so I replaced the brake pads on one side and will replace both rotors and pads the next time I need brakes."
Mark E., NJ (2012 Honda Accord LX-P 2.4-L 4 Cyl)"I have had to have the rotors turned three times, about every 40K miles. I have owned four Honda's and have never had this issue with any of other vehicles."
Dan C., AR (2012 Honda Accord EX-L 3.5-L V6)"rotors started shaking when breaking beginning at 15,000 miles. Was told they would have to be resurfaced and this was normal to the car and would continue to have to be done every 25,000 miles until they had to be replaced - never had a car do this"
Anonymous, SC (2012 Honda Accord EX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)"Rotors warped and needed to be resurfaced just after warranty ran out. There had been some pulsing of brakes. Have heard others with same complaint"
Derek W., PA (2012 Honda Accord LX-S 2.4-L 4 Cyl)"at about 67,000 miles the pads had to be replaced and the rotors had to be "cut" . expensive repair"
Anonymous, NJ (2012 Honda Accord EX 3.5-L V6)"Rotors needed to be turned"
Valerie P., FL (2012 Honda Accord LX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)"At 16146 the front rotors needed to be re-surfaced. I have had seven honda and have never had this happen to any of them. I was very surprised to have this happen"
George G., MI (2012 Honda Accord EX-L 3.5-L V6)"Hondas seem to have an issue with warped rotors causing brake rumble and pulsation. This Accord has had the issue for about 20,000 miles"
Joseph C., KS (2012 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4-L 4 Cyl)"Rotors had to be turned at about 40000 miles"

Valerie P., FL (2012 Honda Accord LX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)"a bracket or screw or some similar small loosened several times on the front breaks, rubbed a nearby structure. More than one service visit required to eventually get it fixed"

"The outboard brake pad does not fully contact the disk - even after pad and caliper replacement. I can replace the disk rotor but the pad doesn't contact the inner most contact area."
