Honda Accord 2016 sedan
Trim Shown: EX
Across all trim lines, the Accord is well-equipped and priced competitively--making it one of our top-rated family sedans. It handles responsively, though the ride tends to be choppy. The interior is roomy and well-finished, and the base four-cylinder engine gets 30 mpg overall with its mostly unobtrusive CVT. The 3.5-liter V6 is lively and refined, and gets a very good 26 mpg overall. We didn't like Honda's unintuitive infotainment system on all but the base and Sport trims. Honda's “Lane Watch” right-side camera is an ineffective substitute for blind-spot monitoring.

  • The cabin is very accommodating, with supportive seats and generous driving position
  • It provides an impressive mix of fuel economy and performance

  • Honda's strict options structure means you'd better like what they give you...and no complaining
  • The LaneWatch side camera system is gimmicky and distracting; no conventional blind-spot monitoring system is available

Best Version to Get

To get the best feature set at a reasonable price, consider the EX version. And most buyers should be pleased with the four-cylinder engine.
