"It is a great truck. Have only had it about 6 months. I wish it had the tow package option; that would have allowed us to pull a larger RV trailer. The outside mirrors block good turning vision. It needs mirrors like the Super Duty Fords (F250, etc). Toyota needs a 3/4 ton truck to keep up with the growing RV industry."

"When driving on concrete highways, the joints on the pavement seems to be accentuated in its ride. On rubberized asphalt, the ride is fairly smooth. I found that the ride issue is a major complaint on this vehicle. county roads where the asphalt ends and becomes gravel appears to just fine in its handling characteristics. The road or bed bounce seems to be the primary issue with this year and model."

"GREAT Value. When I purchased truck I received nice rebate and zero percent financing, plus paid a fair purchase price. I have driven truck 258,000 miles in 10 years with very few problems. I had one major problem with emission control system on engine at 145,000 miles. Initially I paid $3,000 for this repair. Then a few months later Toyota decided this would be a warranty repair, and they reimbursed me the money I paid --- even though at 145,000 miles the truck was very much out of warranty."

The truck has pulled our travel trailer from Texas to Alaska and back twice and numerous trips in the 48 states for a total of over 40,000 miles towing. I frequently haul loads in excess of 1500 pounds on rough country roads. The truck has been 100% reliable. The only problem I have is deciding how much beyond 10 years I want to keep it before getting a new Tundra."
