The Kali Ave is a moderately priced skate-style/urban helmet that earns top marks for impact absorption in our tests. Designed for urban commuting, it features a dial-fit system, a micro-USB rechargeable rear light, and a one-year warranty. The helmet also includes a damage replacement program but does not incorporate rotational impact protection technology. Kali emphasizes sustainability in the Ave's construction, using recycled materials such as ABS, EPS, RPET straps, and bamboo padding. The helmet incorporates the company's Composite Fusion technology, though its fixed-length, non-locking side straps can make fit adjustments more difficult than on some competing models.
