If you’re in the market for small kitchen appliances, like air fryers and microwave ovens, trusty Dutch ovens, and other kitchen tools, you’ve come to the right place. We keep tabs on everything we test all year long, and there are some good prices right now.

However, if you don’t absolutely need something right now, Amazon Prime Day is in less than two weeks, from June 23 to 26, which means even more and better deals (many of which have rivaled Black Friday prices in years past). And if you don’t have or want a Prime membership, Walmart, Best Buy, and Target are all having sales at the same time—Walmart and Best Buy’s sales start on Monday and run through the end of the weekend, too. And other retailers will surely have competing prices too. We’ll track all the deals to help you find the best offers on CR-tested products that are worth your money.

A good deal is about more than just the price tag, so we also look at the item’s quality based on how it performs in our lab tests and at-home evaluations. Everything on this list isn’t only going to be easy on your wallet, but it’s also going to be a great addition to your kitchen and last a long time to come.

Cookware

This cost-conscious 11-piece stainless steel cookware set from The Cellar is at the lowest price we’ve ever seen, as it’s a final sale item. It includes two frying pans, two saucepans, a sauté pan, a stockpot, a silicone trivet, and four lids. The set, a Macy’s exclusive, aces our tests for cooking evenness, speed of heating, and food release. It’s also easy to clean, earning an excellent score. The handles stay safe and cool, but they aren’t so sturdy, earning a mediocre rating for that test.

Still undecided?
CR's expert guidance and unbiased reviews can help you purchase with confidence.

The 10-piece OXO Ceramic Professional nonstick set is all business, with no extras added to the count, just pots and lids. That said, the set’s cooking evenness is top-notch, and it brings water to a boil in no time flat. Plus, it’s very good at simmering sauces and releasing eggs fried in quick succession. The handles are super-sturdy and stay cool to the touch.

All-Clad is a coveted brand for home chefs and professionals—they even use All-Clad pans in The Bear! This stainless steel set scored very well in our tests, especially when it came to cooking evenness and food release. We tried the 10-piece set, which is $200 more than the 7-piece set at Macy’s. So if you don’t need a full suite of pots and pans, this could be a great opportunity to invest in some high-end cookware.

The Hestan ProBond Professional Clad set is the priciest stainless steel cookware set in CR’s ratings, and it’s now $50 less than it was just a couple of weeks ago. This set receives excellent scores for speed of heating and cooking evenness. And for those nervous that stainless steel may cause food to stick, never fear: it also receives an excellent score for food release, meaning eggs cooked with oil slid off the pan with little to no effort in our lab tests. You may want to have a potholder at the ready when cooking, though, because its score for handle temperature is just so-so. This 10-piece set comes with a lifetime warranty.

Air Fryers

The Instant Vortex 4 Plus Air Fryer 4QT is a standout for the legibility of its digital controls, relatively low noise levels, and ease of cleaning. What’s more, its square basket design makes it easy to fit in a small Pyrex dish or baking pan—great for turning out sweet treats. The measured 3-quart model has a 1-year warranty.

The NuWave Brio Plus 37401 is at the best price we’ve seen all year. It has a 7.1-quart capacity that can fit a good amount of food, which is ideal if you’re batch-cooking or preparing a meal for multiple people. It excels in our assessment of its controls and for ease of cleaning, and it’s almost as quiet as air fryers get. Its digital controls are also near the top of the machine and angled upward, so it’s a little easier to use them without stooping down.

The Instant Vortex Slim air fryer, which typically sells for $120, is an all-around strong performer, with intuitive controls and quiet operation, and we found it pretty easy to clean, too. At 11 inches in width and 12 inches in height, it won’t be overly obtrusive on your countertop, though it is fairly deep (18 inches). It has a measured capacity of 4.9 quarts, five cooking modes (air fry, broil, bake, roast, and reheat), and one-touch programs to cook a range of foods, including wings, vegetables, potatoes, cookies, and more. It comes with a 1-year warranty.

This Ninja air fryer, now $20 less than usual, has two baskets, and each can be removed on its own, which allows you to cook two different things at separate temperatures and cook times simultaneously (say, fries and chicken nuggets). Its total measured capacity is 6 quarts. In our tests, it was very easy to use and clean, and while it’s a little on the noisy side, it’s not the loudest of the models we’ve tested. It has six cook functions—air fry, air broil, roast, bake, reheat, and dehydrate—and programmed settings for cooking specific foods. It comes with a one-year warranty.

Coffee Makers

Mr. Coffee Compact Espresso Machine

Mr. Coffee Compact Espresso Machine

It may come as a surprise, but the Mr. Coffee Compact Espresso Machine beat out all the other budget espresso machines in a recent evaluation. Our team found it easy to use, and it produced smooth espresso shots and good-quality foamed milk using its built-in steam wand. It was so simple and intuitive, according to our panel, that even an espresso-making novice had no trouble producing a shot. We even found that this model made better-tasting shots than more expensive models.

Cuisinart DCC-T20 Touchscreen 14-Cup Programmable

A conventional drip coffee maker with a modern twist, the Cuisinart DCC-T20 Touchscreen 14-Cup Programmable offers slick touchscreen controls and makes plenty of java for a full house, thanks to its 14-cup glass carafe. This model shines when it comes to brew performance and convenience in our tests. In addition to more standard features like programming, auto-shutoff, a cleaning indicator, and a permanent filter, it has less common perks like a water filter, brew-strength control, and a small-batch setting. It’s a bit pricey, but for the investment, you can count on an all-around great coffee maker for both busy mornings and dinner parties.

The unassuming, inexpensive Hamilton Beach 12-Cup Programmable 49465R might be easy to miss, but it can brew a mean cup of joe at a fantastic price. It has all the essentials in a basic black-plastic finish. It’s programmable and has auto-shutoff. What’s more, it does a superb job in our brewing test and can make a fresh pot in just 10 minutes. This model also performs strongly for convenience and carafe handling in CR’s lab tests. But it’s worth mentioning that this model is more prone to overflow, unlike some other models we’ve tested.

With its built-in milk frother, the Nespresso CitiZ EN267BAE takes single-serve coffee to the next level. It’s great for hosting events, considering it aced CR’s tests for speed and size consistency. The brand’s single-serve coffee makers also get top marks for owner satisfaction and near-top-level marks for reliability in our member surveys. This machine requires a bit more maintenance due to the milk frother, but if you love your morning latte, it’s a quick and easy way to get your fix.

Blenders

The BN701 Professional Plus with Auto iQ earns top scores in our tests for convenience and durability, and based on CR’s surveys, owners are very satisfied with their purchase. Though it also scored well in our pureeing and ice crushing tests, it got just a middling score on blending smoothies, so if that’s the main reason you want a blender, you may want to consider another model.

The Professional Plus Kitchen System BN801 Personal Blender is especially handy if you plan on using a new blender to make smoothies and soups, considering its excellent performance in our tests for icy drinks and purees. It also has very good performance in our ice crush tests. It’s $8 more than the best price we’ve seen in a long time.

The Ninja BL770 plays two roles: as a full-sized blender, and as a personal blender with an internal spinner and cup that’s meant for small batches. It’s a very good performer either way, handily crushing ice and capably preparing smoothies and other icy beverages. It’s also very convenient—though more so when using the full-sized blending jar. In puréeing, the personal-blender version is the star, though the full-sized version still purées very well. The Ninja BL770 is noisy, however—especially when using the full-sized jar. Predicted reliability and owner satisfaction are impressive for both versions.

The GE G8H1AASSPSS Blender is an immersion model that comes with a whisk and chopper, and it’s available now at a sweet price. It showed excellent performance in our soup purée tests, and the chopper attachment did a great job grating cheese. The whisk attachment allows you to quickly whip egg whites to stiff peaks and easily turn heavy cream into rich whipped cream.

The Ninja TWISTi High Speed Duo is currently $30 more than it has been recently, but that price may drop by Prime Day. Its intelligent programs and five push-button functions eliminate guesswork while blending or pulsing soups, smoothies, frozen drinks, spreads, and more. The 1600-watt power blender has hybrid-edge chopping and crushing blades, a built-in twist tamper, and a removable drizzle cap that allows ingredients and ice cubes to be added while processing. If you like hearty soups and tasty smoothies, this slightly noisy blender might be for you.

Food Processors

The 720-watt Cuisinart Custom 14 DFP-14BCNY garners a top rating for shredding and is also a strong performer when it comes to chopping and slicing. It’s also one of the quietest models we’ve tested. It has a 14-cup capacity, stands 15 inches high, and weighs nearly 15 pounds. Many of the food processors we’ve evaluated operate with push buttons, but this one has levers, one for on, the other for pulsing and off. The warranty covers three years for the parts and five years for the motor. It was $10 less recently, so it might drop even more around Prime Day.

The dishwasher-safe GE G8P1AASSPSS processor performed very well in our tests, especially slicing and shredding. If you’re a cheese-grating taco enthusiast, though, you might consider another model. This one is powered by 550 watts, dial controls, three speeds, and a 1-year warranty motor. The  12-cup jar features an easy-grasp handle and a large feed tube for your healthy veggies. Nearly 20 percent off, this deal includes accessories like a mini chopper bowl, dough blade, grating disk, emulsifying disk, and a spatula.

Multi-Cookers

The 6-quart 1,350-watt DeLonghi Livenza is another multi-cooker without a pressure-cook function, so fast cooking isn’t its promise. But its slow-cooking mode is top-notch, with the model earning a strong rating in that test. It also earns top-notch scores for sautéing and steaming, both tests that few models ace.

This cooker has a baking function, too, which we tested with mixed results. Our chocolate chip bars were nice and chewy on top but burnt on the bottom around the corners of the pot. Like the Cuisinart above, this cooker’s oblong shape is useful for bulky roasts and racks of ribs.

Oxo Good Grips Classic Swipe Ice Cream Scoop

Oxo Good Grips Classic Swipe Ice Cream Scoop

This lever-style ice cream scoop is relatively lightweight and has a dishwasher-safe stainless steel round scooper and a plastic handle with grips. It’s incredibly comfortable to hold, and its spring-loaded lever pushed inward with ease, released without getting jammed in our tests.

Ogednac Electric Salt and Pepper Grinder Set

Ogednac Electric Salt and Pepper Grinder Set

The Ogednac Electric Salt and Pepper Grinder Set is less powerful than many of the other grinders we tried, with a 20-second lag between starting the mill and dispensing the product. The grind is very smooth, and the finest setting creates fine powder. It’s also quiet and easy to handle, especially for kids. And the LED lights show how charged the battery is and illuminate where the salt and pepper landed. But it’s hard to clean because the reservoir doesn’t detach from the mill.

Comtar Mini Bag Sealer

Comtar Mini Bag Sealer

Justin Huynh, a CR product manager, completely reseals his chips rather than clips them closed. “I personally like using these melting sealers because I often don’t come back to snacks for a long time after opening them, so I feel that this gives them a better shelf life,” he says. “I’ve used multiple sealers before, and they’ve never performed consistently, but this one is the closest. I can get a good seal within 2 tries on this one, and it includes a blade on the inside that can cut the excess bag before sealing. This is also by far the smallest one I’ve gotten, which makes it easy to throw into the pantry for easy access.”

Zulay Kitchen Rotary Cheese Grater

Zulay Kitchen Rotary Cheese Grater

The Zulay Kitchen Rotary Cheese Grater, now $5 less than it was last month, is a versatile and user-friendly tool with five interchangeable blades that are perfect for grating cheese, though the brand says it can also be used on nuts and some veggies. Left-handed users can even easily turn the gadget for seamless operation.

This was the only grater with extra surfaces and a handy container to store them. It is a bulky device overall—it stands at 11.25 inches tall, so it won’t fit into most drawers—and is meant to fit in a cabinet or sit on the counter.

Most colors are on sale for around $30, and these, though not listed as a sale price, are significantly less.

Chefman Roll n' Go Food Warming Mat

Chefman Roll n' Go Food Warming Mat

Of the seven food warming mats we tested, this one (as well as the Bella Fold and Store Warming Tray) showed some of the most consistent temperatures across the surface. No area of the mat reached exactly 212° F when it was set to the highest setting, but it came pretty close, at 198° F. The left and right sides of the mat reached maximum temperatures, which were slightly lower, at 188° F and 184° F, respectively.

Cuisinart ICE-21P1 Frozen Yogurt, Ice Cream, & Sorbet Maker

Cuisinart ICE-21P1 Frozen Yogurt, Ice Cream, & Sorbet Maker

If you’re interested in making your own ice cream at home, this could be a great lower-cost option. We really liked the consistent, creamy texture of the sorbet and ice cream that came out of the Cuisinart. This was true both immediately after production and after we froze them overnight. The sorbet was a bit icier and less perfectly consistent than that made by the other ice cream makers we tried. But that was easily remedied by dragging a spatula around the sorbet to smooth out some of the ice midchurn.

The Meater+ meat thermometer is one of the most reliable digital thermometers. It’s easy to use, and given its top-notch accuracy, you won’t need guesswork to determine the doneness of brisket and other fleshy delights. It’s shaped like a thick ink pen with dual sensors—one for internal temperature and one for ambient temperature—and its size makes it better suited to girthier cuts. The Meater+ transmits temperature readings wirelessly to the companion smartphone app.

Zulay Kitchen Premium Apple Corer

Zulay Kitchen Premium Apple Corer

The Zulay Kitchen Premium Apple Corer is a breeze to use. You press the corer down on the center of the apple, and the serrated blades allow you to core the fruit in seconds. The handle is designed to give you an easy grip, making the process quick and effective. For less than $10, this is a handy gadget to have in your kitchen.
