Anonymous, MI (2010 Ford F-150 FX4 5.4-L V8)"Fix my fan control on my pickup – the fan speed was stuck on high with it turned ON, whether AUTO or just try to adjust with fan speed myself. Looked on internet and found out if the Ford F-150 Lariat has AUTO Climate Control, you have to replace the “Blower Speed Control Module,” but if the auto does not have the AUTO Climate Control, you have to replace the Resister. Also from the internet I saw a video showing how to remove/replace the existing AUTO Climate Control, so I ordered it from OEM Ford Part, Georgia for $77 + $8 (S&H)= $85. Got it in 3 days thru USPS. Very easy to replace since the video showed how to drop the glove box so the part is practically in front of you – my only problem was having to sit on the door ledge that is not very wide at all, and I had to hold my weight up from slipping with my right hand on the door, and me having to use my left hand to turn the wrench (ever tried even brushing your teeth with your left hand). It didn’t take long to do it and already said my only problem. The fan speeds worked good after replacement."
John P., MS (2010 Ford F-150 Lariat 5.4-L V8)"Passenger and drivers side air diverter actuators both failed when the vehicle had about 47000 miles. The Drivers side is now making noise and expected to fail soon."
James D., FL (2010 Ford F-150 Lariat 5.4-L V8)"Passenger side control stuck on heat."
Anonymous, AB (2010 Ford F-150 Platinum 5.4-L V8)"Auto climate control failed"
Brian H., VA (2010 Ford F-150)"I have dual zone heating and cooling, as well as heated and cooled front seats. The dual zone heating/cooling is currently not working correctly. The drivers side will blow cool or warn/hot air as designed and selected, but the passenger side will only blow warm/hot air, regardless if I have selected “MAX AC” on full cold."
Anonymous, WA (2010 Ford F-150 King Ranch 5.4-L V8)"No air or heat"
Norma J., TX (2010 Ford F-150 Lariat 4.6-L V8)"Passenger side climate control went out. Required labor intensive new climate control module"

Anonymous, CO (2010 Ford F-150 Platinum 5.4-L V8)"Had to replace the Modules that control the climate control. one side of the vehicle was blowing cool air while the other vents blew hot air"
Anonymous, NB (2010 Ford F-150 FX4 5.4-L V8)"heat/AC Blend motor. Malfunction doesn't allow control of heat and cool air flow out right side vents. after reading other owners account of this problem, the vehicle would either blow all hot or all cold, depending on what position the motor failed. My issue is hot air all the time. (a/c, heat, whatever)"
Ralph T., IL (2010 Ford F-150 King Ranch 5.4-L V8)"Driver side only blew ambient air...replaced module and fixed problem"
Anonymous, CA (2010 Ford F-150 Lariat 5.4-L V8)"It is noisy and a poor quality...but that is what a Ford is!!"

Anonymous, SK (2010 Ford F-150 FX4 5.4-L V8)"The blower motor became unreliable. It would not always work. The wiring connector was also fouled. Required replacement of the motor and the connector. The motor had to be replaced twice because the dealership didn't find the problem in the connector until it shorted out the first replacement."
Anonymous, AL (2010 Ford F-150 King Ranch 5.4-L V8)"About 2 months ago the 1st 3 positions on the fan switch stopped operating. Presently, the fan only works on the 4th highest speed. My initial research notes that there are two different relays but I have not figured out how to fix the problem yet. (I will likely have to take the truck to a dealer to insure the proper fix.)"
Anonymous, MI (2010 Ford F-150 XLT 4.6-L V8)"Actual problem was the blend door actuator, which have failed on many Ford trucks. Cost of replacement was over $1,000 and Ford did not recall or pay for the faulty actuators."
Rodney C., OK (2010 Ford F-150 Platinum 5.4-L V8)"a/c working but weakly the evaporator, fan switching apparatus was not operating properly vehicle is 9 years old with 114k miles local shop repaired the system and while apart we replaced the heater core and any other parts under the dash"

Deb H., KS (2010 Ford F-150 King Ranch 5.4-L V8)"HVAC suddenly stopped working on a hot day. No ventilation available except to open windows. Could have been a serious problem had it been a vacation time or raining outside."
Anonymous, IL (2010 Ford F-150 Lariat 4.5-L V8)"Noisey blower fan, it has been that way for awhile and should have dealt with it during warranty period. This one is on me, other than the crappy original OEM part"
Michael K., MB (2010 Ford F-150 XLT 4.6-L V8)"currently the fan only works on #4. So if you want heat it has to be full blast or nothing"
Anonymous, ON (2010 Ford F-150 XLT 4.5-L V8)"The problem is actually the blend door actuator, which separates the A/C and heat on each side of the cabin. When the A/C is on, the driver receives cold air and the passenger receives hot air. The opposite is also true - when the heater is on, the driver receives hot air and the passenger receives cold air. This is a serious problem that Ford should have repaired by recall. Ford is hiding this and does not want consumers to know about this major problem. This is a design defect, an enginee"
Craig C., OK (2010 Ford F-150 Platinum 5.4-L V8)"Fan would not run on the lowest two settings. It would only blow if turned to the highest settings"

Anonymous, NY (2010 Ford F-150 XLT 4.6-L V8)"a control capacitor went out, which controls temperatures such as warming/cooling."
Anonymous, CA (2010 Ford F-150 Lariat 4.6-L V8)"Only cold air on passenger side. Defrost included."
Albert M., CT (2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor 5.4-L V8)"The heating / cooling system contain blend door actuators that control the mix of air to keep the temperature at adjustment. When the vehicle is started, these doors go through an initialization process which causes them to click and crack when the little plastic sprocket that controls the door positioning wears out. They're are 3 of them inside the dash. They're identical $35 parts but can cost $1,000+ to replace. It looks like only 2 of the 3 are worn out on my truck - the cheap ones to replace - $200 each. If the one in the middle of the dash is bad, the dash must be taken apart to replace it - $1000 estimate at my Ford dealership."
