Anonymous, ME (2012 Ford F-150 XLT 3.5-L V6 turbo)"I've had a few Ford vehicles and it seems they always have underpowered brake systems."
Anthony D., NJ (2012 Ford F-150 Lariat 3.5-L V6 turbo)"Front brakes shot after only 45000 miles. During regular oil changes they said no problems with unusual wear. All of a sudden the breaks are shot. Ford designed the break system so it can't be repaired, but must be replaced. A service department dream and a customer nightmare!!"
Anonymous, WI (2012 Ford F-150 STX 5.0-L V8)"Shortly after I purchased the F-150 in 2015, the parking brake cable apparently stretched causing the pedal to not return completely. This caused the parking brake light to stay on until the pedal was pulled up with my toe. Ford had a service bulletin out and I eventually had it fixed at a Ford dealer."
Anonymous, CA (2012 Ford F-150 XLT 3.7-L V6)"Could not fully release the parking brake without lifting the pedal with my foot or hand."
Anonymous, ON (2012 Ford F-150 XLT 5.0-L V8)"I found out that if the parking brake is not regularly used two parts sort of rust together and the parking brake will not hold the truck in place."

Anonymous, MD (2012 Ford F-150 XLT 5.0-L V8)"Parking brake adjustment was off, brakes were dragging slightly, parking brake light was on."
Anonymous, PA (2012 Ford F-150 Lariat 3.5-L V6 turbo)"At less than 30k miles, all 4 rotors, calipers and pads had to be replaced. At 40k miles, it is getting close to needing the pads replaced. I drive the truck very conservatively, and brakes usually last me a long time. Since the truck was new, the brakes would occasionally stick and drag. Usually I could feel it if it was the front brakes. Especially if just one side stuck, it would make the vehicle pull to one side or the steering wheel to wobble. I've had times when driving down the highway and the front brakes stuck and started smoking. This problem goes away on it's own and the mechanics have seen no problems other than all 4 brakes being shot. I've also seen lower than expected gas mileage because of the brakes dragging."
Ethan B., FL (2012 Ford F-150 FX2 5.0-L V8)"Truck has less than 40000 miles and needed rear brakes."
Anonymous, FL (2012 Ford F-150 XLT 5.0-L V8)"I have had repeated problems with the brakes having an extremely hard pedal but little breaking force. Repaired twice with a replacement pump under warranty both times. Calipers seem to hang up if you don't clean and lube the sliding areas, dragging pads causing one pad to wear out faster."
Anonymous, OH (2012 Ford F-150 Lariat 3.5-L V6 turbo)"Brake pad were incorrectly installed at dealer - they were installed backwards!"
Anonymous, OH (2012 Ford F-150 FX4 5.0-L V8)"Rotors and pads on all 4wheels needed replacement at 45000 miles. I think brakes should last longer than that."
Anonymous, MN (2012 Ford F-150 XLT 5.0-L V8)"At 12000 miles the rear brakes failed completely. Rotors had to be replace along with the pads."
Jack J., OR (2012 Ford F-150 Platinum 3.5-L V6 turbo)"I think I should get more than 35,000 miles on brakes. Maybe I’m wrong."

Anonymous, UT (2012 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor 6.2-L V8)"During what seemed to be normal wear and tear I experienced a vibrating/pulsating in the break pedal during hard breaking. A brake pad had broken in the front brake caliper."

Anonymous, (2012 Ford F-150 STX 5.0-L V8)"Rotors warped easily, 3 sets in 42k miles. Put non-Ford on the last time at my own expense, even though covered by extended warranty."
Anonymous, VA (2012 Ford F-150 FX4 5.0-L V8)"Ford trucks are known for rotors developing a pulsation or vibration after 30,000 miles or so. I replaced the rotors with drilled and slotted rotors at around 35,000 Miles and just replaced the rotors with drilled and slotted rotors and the pads again at 99,000. I consider this normal wear and tear."
James L., TN (2012 Ford F-150 King Ranch 5.0-L V8)"the rotors were turned under warrentee at 35000 miles and the vibration stopped but started again at 70,000 milers. at 76,000 it is very annoying. I will have to have them turned or replaced."

Anonymous, PA (2012 Ford F-150 XL 3.5-L V6 turbo)"36000 miles and the rotors were warped on all 4 wheels. dealer also replaced pads that were worn out"
Anonymous, TN (2012 Ford F-150 XLT 3.5-L V6 turbo)"2017 We needed complete set of rotors and pads for premature rusting. Again we live near salt water and the roads get well salted in winter. We were also told that the truck needs to be run more as it sits idle for days at at time"
Anonymous, NS (2012 Ford F-150 3.7-L V6)"warped rotor, noisy brake booster"
Curts C., NY (2012 Ford F-150 Lariat 3.5-L V6 turbo)"Worn twice"
