Both of the F-150's engines, the 5.0-liter V8 and V6 turbo, make this truck quick. Both engines delivered 15 mpg overall. The crew-cab version is very roomy, but the step-in is high. Handling is still clumsy but secure enough. However, the ride is rather stiff. Towing and hauling are very capable, but the capacities of our tested trucks aren't class-leading. The integrated tailgate step is a nice option. New for 2014 is the Tremor sporty version with the V6 turbo.
