    Anonymous A., TX (2015 Ford F-150 XLT 3.5-L V6 turbo)

""There was an exhaust leak that caused the engine to "think" it was running lean. This prompted the fuel system to actually add more fuel to the combustion chamber. The actual result was a rich fuel mixture, of which not all was burnt in the combustion process. Unburnt fuel was captured in the catalytic converter plugging eventually plugging it. This also resulted in poorer fuel economy.""

    Noises/Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Air or water leaks

"The truck started to smell really bad. Then we noticed a very small leak coming from the top of the rear window. We called an auto glass repair shop thinking the rear window needed to be resealed and they told us to check the third brake light first- that is a common problem. I checked it and the gasket for that 3rd brake light had failed and it was letting water come into the headliner and back of the cab. It was a $15 fix from Amazon and I was able to replace it myself but then spent $100 on UV sanitizers and ozone sanitizers to get out the nasty smell. A cheap gasket and a poor design made it almost ruin the truck by letting water run into the headliner and mold/ mildew. With airbags in the roof it could have gotten much worse quickly. Also, we went for tpms sensor replacement at Walmart and they told us the lug nuts were swollen and they could not get them off. Apparently these are 2 piece lug nuts that are prone to warping and the outer jacket swells and separates. This is a known, common problem that there should have been a recall on because it could make the operator unable to change a tire in the event of a roadside emergency. I had to use a screwdriver and pliers and it took 2 hours and several cuts to my hands to remove the swollen outer shell by hand. I then was able to remove the inner lug nuts and replace it with what is considered an OE fix one piece design from Doorman. Ford should have never designed them that way."

    Anonymous A., VA (2015 Ford F-150 Platinum 5.0-L V8)

"The sun roof has leaked since new. Ford replaced the sun roof but it still leaks water inti the cabin during rain storms."
