Ford and Lincoln Recall Even More Vehicles to Fix Backup Cameras
This recall is due to a software problem, and it’s one of several so far this year for the automakers
Ford and Lincoln are recalling over 200,000 more cars, trucks, and SUVs because their backup cameras may display a blank image or otherwise malfunction.
According to documents provided by Ford, the automaker started investigating the issue after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration alerted them to a large number of owner complaints. To fix the problem, Ford dealerships will perform a software update, free of charge.
Ford and Lincoln have already recalled over a million vehicles for similar backup camera issues this year, as have several other automakers.
